Location: Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago
Client: Habitat for Humanity
Project Status: Ongoing
Located on a former agricultural belt in Chaguanas, the ReStore Centre establishes a new regional headquarters for housing agency Habitat for Humanity and combines a series of layered functional and cultural references.
As the first Restore Centre to be introduced outside of the United States of America, the project integrates mixed-use supporting facilities fulfilling its role as a hub for communities, low-cost housing development and local/international volunteers.
Contained within a five acre site, the project was developed as a sustainable and organic network of facilities drawing significant references from local climatic and cultural conditions. This projects a series of vibrant, permeable facades within the backdrop of a rich natural landscape creating a beacon for local communities and the region
