Herman Morgan - B.Arch DipArch ARB MTTIA | Founder

Herman Morgan studied architecture at London South Bank University and London Metropolitan University.
He has worked for Adjaye Associates on a series of projects including the residential, retail and commercial buildings of the Heart of Doha Masterplan in Qatar and a Boutique Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
This followed his work on prominent projects for Arup including Stratford City Station and development in London and at HOK Sport (Populous) on the London Olympic/Legacy Venue and Park planning and design team. Both in conjunction with the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Herman has also worked on a number of rail infrastructure projects including London Euston Hs2 Station with Grimshaw Architects and Crossrail’s Abbey Wood Station in London with Fereday Pollard Architects.

His ongoing research into tropical architecture and design and product design has led to a series of collaborations and commissions in the Caribbean and the UK.

He has been an on-going guest critic for the Architecture Undergraduate Programmes at London South Bank University, UK.


Fola Morgan - BArch DipArch | Founder

Fola Morgan studied architecture at London South Bank University. Beginning her career at London practice RHWL Architects, she worked on the St. Pancras Apartments/Hotel development in London and on the Elizabeth House, Mixed-Use Towers in partnership with Allies and Morrison, also in London.

She subsequently went on to work for award winning practice Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners as part of the architectural design team on a range of projects including the Heron Quays Office Tower in London and the Parc 1 Mixed-Use Centre on Yeouido Island in Seoul, South Korea.

Following this, Fola worked on the King Abdullah Stadium City project and Masterplan in Saudi Arabia for London firm Arup Associates and has continued to work in design research and on private projects in the UK, Caribbean and Nigeria.


Ian Ramsay - BArch DipArch BIA RIBA LEED | TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Ian brings significant technical and project management experience to the studio. After studying with co-founders Herman Morgan and Fola Morgan in the UK, he has embarked on a series of projects in the UK and the Caribbean.

He has considerable experience in residential and masterplanning projects in the Caribbean having worked for practice Robertson Ward Associates and Millennium Investments Ltd in Barbados as well as a series of private projects.

Since becoming LEED accredited Ian has focused on integrating sustainable and environmentally responsible strategies to all projects. This has been an integral theme in his work to date and a key component in design development and research at M_A/D.
